Subscribe to Michigan History magazine and save over 30% off the single copy price. A one-year subscription (six issues) is only $19.95, two-year (twelve issues) is $34.95. Please allow 6-8 weeks for delivery of the first issue.

(Canadian subscriptions add $10.00 per year. Outside the US & Canada add $15.00 per year.)

Discounted Upgrade Options for Individual Subscribers

Individual subscribers to Michigan History are now eligible to upgrade to membership in the Historical Society of Michigan (HSM) at a discount. All HSM members receive the Chronicle magazine, discounts on conferences, events and publications such as the Michigan History Directory and Historic Michigan Travel Guide, and more!

(Upgrade options are available to individuals only. Please see the HSM website for information on organizational and institutional memberships.)

Individual Membership Upgrade Options
  • Basic Upgrade: In addition to your Michigan History subscription, individuals will receive our full-color quarterly membership magazine the Chronicle, conference and publication discounts, and updates on Michigan history events. One year Basic Upgrade membership upgrade option is $39.95 or two year Basic Upgrade membership option is $74.95.

  • Regular Upgrade: In addition to your Michigan History subscription, receive all the benefits of Enhanced Basic PLUS get The Michigan Historical Review, a semiannual, academic journal focused on Michigan's history. One year Regular Upgrade membership upgrade option is $49.95 or two year Regular Upgrade membership option is $89.95.
