Michigan History Day: The state competition for Michigan History Day in 2006 will be in Allendale at Grand Valley State University. Regional competitions will be held throughout the state in February and March. The theme for 2006 is Taking a Stand in History. Michigan Historical Review Student Essay Prize: The review will accept papers witten by senior-level and graduate students relating to Michigan's political, economic, social, and cultural history. We also welcome essaya on American, Canadian, and midwestern history that directly or indirectly explore important themes related to Michigan's past.
